Transformation Capital leads Abby Care's $82 million Series C to scale its clinically led, AI-powered approach to delivering quality home healthcare and fraud prevention.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA — Abby Care, an AI-powered care-at-home platform enabling family members to become trained, certified paid caregivers, announced today that it has raised $82 million in Series C financing. Transformation Capital led the latest round, with participation from new investors CVS Health Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures, and Pivotal Ventures along with existing investors Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital, and Sequoia Capital.
The funding will support Abby Care's expansion into new markets and continued investment in AI, clinical research, and health plan partnerships as the company works to make high-quality care at home more accessible and increase program integrity through transparency nationwide.
“Abby Care was built around the thesis: when you leverage the person who already knows a family member best and is consistently there for them, and combine that with clinical oversight, technology, and real-time visibility, you can deliver care that is more proactive and preventative than other traditional care models," said Havi Nguyen, Founder and CEO of Abby Care.
Since its Series B financing led by Thrive Capital in Q3 2024, Abby Care has grown its patient census more than five times and now serves families across the eight states where it operates, with additional markets expected to launch soon.
“Abby Care is tackling one of healthcare’s most important and difficult challenges: how to deliver high-quality care to people at home while creating a model that works for families, clinicians, and health plans. From the beginning, we’ve been impressed by Abby Care’s use of technology, ability to scale responsibly and, most importantly, its long-term vision. We believe Abby Care has the opportunity to build the infrastructure that makes family caregiving a standard option for at-home care across the country,” said Mike Dixon, Managing Partner, Transformation Capital.
In its next chapter, Abby Care will partner even more closely with health plans to solve one of their toughest challenges: managing care for members with long-term or complex needs. Abby Care helps plans deliver better care while keeping members safely at home, avoiding costly institutional care, and strengthening program integrity.
Families across the United States face significant barriers to accessing care, navigating a complex healthcare system at a time when rising costs continue to place pressure on patients, caregivers, and public programs. When resources aren’t used effectively, it can undermine trust in the system and create additional hurdles for families seeking the support they need, underscoring the importance of greater transparency and accountability.
"The healthcare system needs a workforce solution for home-based care, not just better tools around the edges. Abby Care has built a scaled, technology-enabled platform solving the caregiver shortage while giving payers more reliable, higher-quality care in the home. We're proud to support Abby Care as they bring this model to more families,” said Payal Parikh, Principal, CVS Health Ventures.
The company’s long-term vision is to build the infrastructure needed to make clinically led family caregiving a standard option for at-home care across the country, connecting families with the people who know them best, while providing the clinical oversight and verified records needed to deliver high-quality, accountable care at scale.
